A(r)t Home Zine Issue 1: Food for Thought

£6.50

A(r)t Home is a new zine aimed at intervening art within the domestic space & reconnecting through shared, collective experiences and conversation. This is the first issue of the zine and contains physical and written contemporary art pieces centred around themes of hospitality, food, food practices and domestic labour.

Nine artists and contributors are featured in this first issue, all of whom are either based in Glasgow or with strong links to the city. Working across multiple art forms, they have found very different ways to respond to the themes in the Zine, allowing for different types of interaction. Within this first issue, you will find a collection of sensory artworks to engage with and experience, such as works by Anna Winther, Amy Kim Grogan, Alex Weir, Rachel Harris-Huffman, Glen McLachlan and Chef Gary Maclean. These include prints that are removable from the Zine, scratch-and-sniff works, audio works, as well as recipes for you to make. The Zine also features two interviews with Glasgow-based, established art spaces, Alchemy Experiment and Zembla Gallery, that are successfully incorporating forms of hospitality within contemporary art.

Please allow for 2-3 weekdays after purchase for delivery.

The zine is curated by Louise Muriel Burns as part of the final project for the MLitt Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art) course at Glasgow School of Art in conjunction with Glasgow University.

The project is sponsored by ExWhyZed and Short Supply.
